Jeremy Dutcher tickets

Jeremy Dutcher is an award-winning composer, singer, and activist from Tobique First Nation in northwest New Brunswick. He has recorded two solo albums – ‘Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa’ in 2019, and his first, self-titled album, in 2017. Both albums, which combine traditional Wolastoqiyik songs and melodies with orchestral instrumentation, received acclaim and won him the 2019 Polaris Music Prize for 'Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa'.

Dutcher is a classically trained tenor soloist, holding a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the University of Toronto. Away from music, he is also a PhD candidate in Ethnomusicology at the University of British Columbia, focusing on Indigenous language revitalization and the historic connections between his school’s archives and traditional Indigenous knowledge.
