About Despise You

Despise You is a California-based grindcore and powerviolence band formed in 1995. The members of the group are Chris Winter, Ed Udhus, and earlier members Joe Baizana, Donald Anaya, and Robert Erazo. Despise You are perhaps best known for their intense blend of grindcore punk and thrash metal. However, they also incorporate elements of extreme hardcore and noise rock. Lyrically, their songs often express anti-conformist views on topics such as authority, oppression, capitalism, environmentalism, and sexism. Additionally, the band has been known to promote inclusivity and embrace various elements of punk culture. Despise You have released four albums to date and continue to break down sonic boundaries in the extreme music scene.
