Mijares is a Mexican pop singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the '80s. He released his first studio album, 'Manuel Mijares' in 1985, which received a nomination for Best Latin Pop Performance at the Grammy Awards in 1986. Throughout his career, Mijares has had several number one songs in Mexico and released more than 25 studio albums. Some of his most popular songs include Corazón Salvaje, Bendita Tu Luz, Siempre Tuya Desde La Raíz and Todo. He is well-known as one of Mexico's most renowned singers, having earned a Latin Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video in 2004 and a nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the Grammy Awards in 2008. Mijares continues to write and perform, and his latest album 'Obras Cumbres' was released in 2019.
