Terry Chambers is a British drummer from Wiltshire, England who has been playing drums since the age of 12. He is best known for his long-term tenure as the drummer for the rock band XTC, which he joined in 1977. He also drummed on the first four albums by The Psychedelic Furs. Throughout his career he has performed with a number of other bands and recording artists such as Robert Wyatt, Roy Harper, Magnum, and Simon Nicholls. Chambers had a brief stint as the drummer for the record producer, Tony Visconti's band, TeeVee. In 1981, he moved to Los Angeles to record the Who's Face Dances album. He briefly toured with them and later did session work in L.A. for artists such as Roger Daltrey and Eurythmics. He most recently returned to the UK to become a member of the band The Soft Boys.
