About Florida Chamber Orchestra
The Florida Chamber Orchestra is an orchestra based out of Tampa, Florida that has become renowned for its unique mix of southern chamber music. Founded in 1975 by violinist and conductor Tom Stark, the group has performed in a variety of venues throughout the US, in numerous festivals, and with a range of world-renowned guest artists. Their repertoire consists of both contemporary and classical music. The orchestra has also been featured on various soundtracks and has made many television appearances on PBS and other broadcasts. They have recorded several award-winning CDs and their performances have been critically acclaimed. With over 40 years of music-making under its belt, the Florida Chamber Orchestra continues to bring great joy to audiences, engaging them with professionally crafted and compelling performances of music.
