About The Cult
The Cult is an English rock band formed in 1983 in Bradford, Yorkshire. They blend hard rock, heavy metal, and gothic rock to create their unique sound. Originally comprised of Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, the band has had numerous line-up changes over the years. With nine studio albums to date, highlights in the band's career include the albums Love, Sonic Temple, and Electric. They are best known for their iconic songs "She Sells Sanctuary", "Fire Woman", and "Love Removal Machine". The Cult have been incredibly influential in the rock genre, having toured extensively and collaborating with major artists such as Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, and David Bowie.
