Embrace is a British rock band formed in West Yorkshire, England in the late 1990s by singer/guitarist Danny McNamara and bassist Steve Firth. They are best known for their hit single "Gravity", which reached number 3 in the UK Singles Chart in July 2004. Their debut album, The Good Will Out, was released in 1998 and was followed up with another three, Drawn from Memory (2000), If You've Never Been (2001) and Out of Nothing (2004). They released a fifth studio album, Embrace, in 2014 and in 2018 released a greatest hits compilation. Embrace has received critical acclaim from critics and fans alike, with their single "Save Me" receiving numerous awards and recognition from all corners of the music industry. Throughout their career, the band has had numerous members and have seen their style move from an alternative rock/indie sound to one focusing more on their composition and songwriting.
