Ian Brown is an English rock and indie singer best known as lead singer for the alternative rock band The Stone Roses. A solo artist since the late 90s, he is known for his distinctive style, innovative sounds, and often political lyrics. He has released nine solo albums, starting with 1998's Unfinished Monkey Business, and is also known for his collaboration with bands such as Primal Scream. Along with his music career, Brown is a passionate activist, particularly against governments and capitalism.
