Jake Shears is a singer/songwriter and musician, best known as the frontman and main songwriter of the rock band The Scissor Sisters. He has built up a strong reputation for his sequined, flamboyant live shows throughout the band's active years from 2001-2012. After the dissolution of his main project, Shears released his debut solo album in 2018, showing he still had plenty of creative ideas, taking a more soul and funk-based direction on this alternative record. He continues to tour and make music, and has also branched into other creative avenues such as producing Broadway musicals like Kinky Boots in 2015. His unique sound and undeniable charisma has earned him many adoring fans who will no doubt continue to show their loyalty in his solo career.
