One Way Out is a debut play by Montel Douglas. The play follows four college-bound friends—Devonte, Paul, Tunde, and Salim—as they navigate the challenges of adulthood in rapidly changing South London. Their lives are disrupted by a life-altering event that forces them to confront societal expectations, identity, and belonging amid gentrification and the legacy of the Windrush crisis.
